Call for the 3rd Collection Day for Ukraine on October 15, 2022

Updated: Sep 29, 2022

Since the outbreak of the Ukraine crisis at the end of February, the Malteser Foundation Aide & Assistance, in cooperation with the material section of the Swiss St John relief organisation, has been able to send an Semitrailer truck filled to the top with relief supplies to Ukraine's neighbouring countries every week. In most cases, these were hospital supplies for refugee reception centres in Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.

However, we have already been able to send relief supplies collected throughout Switzerland on two occasions with your help.

In view of the approaching winter, the 3rd collection day for relief supplies will take place on

Saturday, 15 October 2022 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the warehouse of:.

We are grateful for hygiene and drugstore articles, bandages, disinfectants and painkillers, mattresses, woollen blankets, duvets, pillows, bedding, sleeping bags, durable, originally packaged food, etc.

Please note the corresponding message on the Aide & Assistance website.

We ask for your understanding that we can only accept clean relief goods in good condition.

Only a few days later, the material will be loaded onto semi-trailers and sent to Poland to benefit the stranded refugees there or - repacked onto smaller vehicles - to be taken across the border to Ukraine.

We also continue to be grateful for your financial donations, as it is currently impossible for us to share the transport costs of the relief goods with the recipients. Donations reach their destination under:

The whole Malteser family in Switzerland is called upon to participate in this campaign together with the Swiss Johanniter to bring help to where it is so urgently needed.

We are grateful that together we can "make suffering less, misery more bearable", as our Order's founder instructed us to do.
